We met Joan Marc In a modern place, decorated with trees without barks and silversmith. The place where he grew, where the old supermarket owned by his parents was; today, where he gives his passion full rein.

 

Joan Marc stands out not only by his excellent career during his vast formation, but also by his native innovation and his support for local products from his natal Mallorca.

 

Fresh and full of flavor cuisine. Dishes change depending each season and local ingredients such as payés and products from his own family’s vegetable patch are added.

 

 

We had the opportunity to taste the creations of this Mallorcan chef in love with his land as much as we do and we bolster fame that precedes him.

There is much more than just delightful signature cuisine, but it is also possible to acquire some local and ecological products handcrafted in his own house. Some of these essentials of La Cesta de Joan Marc are, for instance, cookies and ecological pa de xeixa, marmalades made of fruits from his land or chocolate of Flor de Sal d’es Trenc.

Moreover, his sister Maria Magdalena and his partner Xica Barceló have their own workshop on top of the restaurant. They handcraft silver jewelry and semi-precious gems. A great selection of them are exhibited in the restaurant and visits to the workshop are can also be arranged.
