Mallorca y Menorca eco-friendly. Not all is about enjoying, but also about how to do it

Spain is one of the main tourist destinations worldwide and it is important to maintain this position remaining quality, as well as the Balearic Islands.

Menorca was declared Biosphere Reserve in 1993 and have and incredible ethnologic, architectonic and cultural patrimony. Sustainable hotels, restaurants and other enterprises are increasing and both entrepreneurs and visitants are looking for a different tourism in the island. This is one of the reasons why Menorca is becoming more important in the international frame due to the international awareness with environment.

On the other hand, Mallorca has a greater number of visitants and they are being aware about the necessity to regularize one of their main economic activities. As a matter of fact, last year it was celebrated in the island the First Congress about Efficiency and Sustainability in Tourism.
