Mallorca has numerous sites and beaches to visit, but in this post we will talk about northeast of the island.
Northeast area of Mallorca
In the northeast of Mallorca is the Natural Park Peninsula Llevant and numerous beaches to enjoy the scenery and a swim. In this area there are villages where you can go eat or just to visit.
The northeast area of Mallorca is a green and full of beautiful beaches. The beaches in this area are all with crystal clear water as Cala Agulla, Cala Mesquida, Cala Moltó, Cala Torta, Cala Ratjada, Playa de Canyamel o Cala Rotja, this beaches are perfect for the day. In this area of the island also is the Natural Park Llevant Peninsula, where you can spend a day hiking and enjoying the flora and fauna that houses this natural park.
The Natural Park Península of Llevant occupies 1.671 hectares of mountainous area and coastal area. In this park there are numerous botanical endemic species. The park is also a protected area for birds, as there are various species and there are populations of mediterranean tortoise.
In this part of the island also you can visit different towns as Colonia de Sant Pere and Arta in which to enjoy leisure and gastronomy of the island of Mallorca. And if you like cycling there is a bike path that runs from Artá to Manacor, passing Son Servera, Son Carrio and Sant Llorenc, this bike path runs 29 km, this route was an old railway line that ran between 1921 and 1977 .
