What you should know if you travel to Menorca in summer

Menorca is a very popular destination in summer, the island is full and it is not easy to find empty beaches or restaurants. Next we will tell you what you should know if you go to Menorca in the months of July and August.

In the months of July and August if you want to find some deserted beach on the island it’s going to be impossible mission, unless you go at 7 in the morning. You may one day be lucky and find one of those beaches of Menorca with less occupation but that will be something exceptional in summer. There are beautiful places on the island that are not full, there are beaches with a difficult access that are very nice.

Cultural heritage

If you do not like the massification of people on the beaches, you can take advantage to visit the cultural heritage of the island. In Menorca you can visit funeral navetas, war constructions and prehistoric remains. La Naveta des Tudons is the oldest preserved building in Europe. The island is about to become World Heritage Site with its Talaiotica candidacy.

Biosphere Reserve and Marine Reserve

Menorca is a Biosphere Reserve for 20 years. Besides this has a large Marine Reserve where you can snorkel and enjoy the marine fauna.
